Speculative Narrative Concept

Our site looks at the future of Olympic Village and False Creek, embracing the rise in sea level that has often been approached with rigid, monotonous design (the seawall) to mitigate flooding. However, we consider water as the important element that could enrich and redefine this neighbourhood (and thus Vancouver's culture and urban identity), and preserving current protective structures only interferes with possible human-marine environment interactions.
